Bruce Longworth directed the Festival’s Park productions of The Winter’s Tale (2017), Henry V (2014), Othello (2012), and Hamlet (2010). Additionally, he’s created and directed Festival productions with The Pulitzer Museum and the Saint Louis Symphony. In 2021, his adaptation and direction of Such Sweet Thunder, created by the Festival with the Nine Network of Public Media, The Big Muddy Dance Company, and Jazz St. Louis was recognized at the St. Louis Arts Awards for Best Collaboration, having previously received the Theatre Critics Circle Award for Best Musical in 2020.  Other local and regional directing credits include Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Lyceum Theatre, Mustard Seed Theatre, New Jewish Theatre, Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Missouri Thespians, International Thespians, and many shows for the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University where he has been on faculty since 1985. Dorothy Englis is a St. Louis based costume designer. A proud member of United Scenic Artist 829, she works in numerous styles and genres. Long associated with Repertory Theatre St. Louis, she has designed close to 100 productions for The Rep’s Mainstage, Studio, and Imaginary Theatre Company seasons, most recently Pride & Prejudice. In addition to these credits, Dottie has designed costumes for Indiana Repertory Theatre, Geva Theatre, Reduced Shakespeare Company, PCPA Theatrefest and Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. St. Louis Critics Circle and Kevin Kline Awards have nominated and awarded Dottie numerous times for her costume designs. A Full Professor in Design at the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University, she also a recipient of the William T. Kemper Excellence in Teaching Award, and the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. She received her MFA in Costume Design from Carnegie Mellon University and her BA in Drama and English from Tufts University.

John Wylie is the Head of Production Programs at Webster University where he teaches Technical Direction and Lighting.  He is a graduate of Augustana College and the University of Missouri at Kansas City. John has designed for The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, the Missouri Rep, the St. Louis Black Rep, Metro Theatre Company, Variety Children’s Theatre, Geva Theatre and Alabama Shakespeare, among others.  This is his fifteenth season with the Festival. In past seasons at the Festival, John has designed the lighting for Much Ado, Richard III, Merry Wives, Hamlet, The Taming of the Shrew, Othello, Twelfth Night, Henry V, Antony and Cleopatra, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Winter’s Tale, Romeo and Juliet, Love’s Labors Lost and King Lear.

2022 Directing Fellow – Cameron is an actor, playwright and filmmaker with a BFA in dramatic performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. A proud member of SAG-AFTRA and the Actors Equity Association, he thanks the Festival for casting him in his first professional production at the age of 17.  He is Founder and Artistic Director of his own theater company, Soul Siren Playhouse; producing stories for stage and screen speaking to various social challenges seeking healing and awareness. With a background in devised theater and a passion for education, he has created and performed in a variety of Fringe Festivals nationally and abroad. Emilee Buchheit* is delighted to be returning to Shakespeare Glen this summer.  This marks Emilee’s eleventh season with the Festival.  She previously Stage Managed the Festival’s productions of King Lear (2021), Love’s Labors Lost (2019), Romeo & Juliet (2018), The Winter’s Tale (2017), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2016), Antony and Cleopatra (2015), Henry IV and Henry V (2014), Twelfth Night (2013), Taming of the Shrew (2011), and Assistant Stage Managed The Merry Wives of Windsor (2009). Emilee is one of the Mainstage Stage Managers at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. Other Stage Management credits include the Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Variety Theatre, New Jewish Theatre, Little Theatre on the Square, and The Foolish Theatre Company in New York. She is a proud graduate of the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University.

Brandon Fink is from Oklahoma City, OK and received his BFA in Dance Performance from the University of Central Oklahoma.  He danced with MADCO (2011-2016), The Muny (2016), Variety Theatre (2017-2018), Opera Theatre of St. Louis (2018), and The Big Muddy Dance Company (2016-present).  His choreography has been presented at UMSL, UCO, FAU, ACDFA, the Oklahoma Contemporary Dance Festival, The Big Muddy Dance Company, and MADCO. Brandon currently serves as the Director of Education at The Big Muddy Dance Company and the Artistic Director of La Voûte Performance Ensemble.

Aaron Orion Baker is a longtime resident of St. Louis. He has appeared previously in the St. Louis Shakespeare Festival’s mainstage productions (Hamlet, The Taming of the Shrew), educational tours, and in the streets of Maplewood (Remember Me).  Notable roles include Edmund in Long Day’s Journey into Night (Muddy Waters), Lucky in Waiting for Godot (St. Louis Actors’ Studio), Ralph in Awake and Sing! (New Jewish Theatre), Stevie in Good People (Repertory Theatre of St. Louis), and Jonathan in Sight Unseen (New Jewish Theatre, opposite his wife Emily Baker, directed by his dear friend, the late Bobby Miller, an experience he will always treasure). Other theatres include The Black Rep, Upstream Theatre, Ozark Actors Theatre, Mustard Seed, Max and Louie, Dramatic License, and St. Louis Shakespeare/Magic Smoking Monkey.  Aaron is a proud member of Actors Equity Association and is the Standardized Patient Educator for the Washington University School of Medicine.

Gary Glasgow is returning for his sixteenth season at the Shakespeare Festival of St. Louis.  Favorite productions include Romeo and Juliet  (Paris -2001, Friar Lawrence – 2019), Macbeth (Porter), The Winter’s Tale (Autolycus), Henry V (Archbishop of Canterbury) and The Taming of the Shrew (Gremio). Other local venues include The MUNY (43 productions), the Repertory Theatre of Saint Louis, the New Jewish Theatre, Mustard Seed Theatre, and Variety Children’s Theatre.  Regionally, he has worked with Shakespeare Rep (Chicago), The Court Theatre (Chicago), and Apple Tree Theatre (Chicago), among others. He is a faculty member of the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University (28 years.) A proud Actors Equity member, Gary thanks his family for their love and support.

Kenneth Hamilton is originally from the greater Cincinnati area and studied theatre at the University of Kentucky. Stanton Nash is an actor, playwright, singer, and screenwriter. He has performed around the country, acting at New York City’s Ensemble Studio Theatre, D.C.’s Arena, Baltimore’s Center Stage, Denver’s Center for Performing Arts, Princeton’s McCarter, Chicago’s Steppenwolf, Greensboro’s Triad Stage, Minneapolis’ Twin Cities Theater Company, Atlanta’s Georgia Shakespeare, and the Chicago company of Wicked. Graduate of the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theatre BFA Actor Training Program.

Carl Overly. Jr.* is thrilled to return to the park after appearing as Cornwall in King Lear last summer. Carl is a full time artist living in St. Louis. Most recently seen as Tim in Midnight Theater Company’s “It is Magic”and Big Dave’s in COCA’s Billy Elliot. Credits include Coach in Metro Theater Company’s production of Ghost and Wolf in St Louis Black Repertory Theater production of Two Trains Running.  His directing credits include MotherFu&@$er with the Hat (R-S Theatrics), Rimers of Eldritch (St. Louis University), Anansi the Spider (The Black Rep touring company) and Assistant Director for We are the Levisons at The New Jewish Theater. Carl is a teaching artist with Prison Performing Arts and COCA and the winner of three St. Louis Theater Circle Awards. He would like to thank his family and friends for their continued support. Matt Pace composer, multi-instrumentalist, and co-founder of the silent film scoring ensemble The Rats & People Motion Picture Orchestra, has been making music in studios, on patios, and on stages around St. Louis since the late 20th century. He has had the privilege of working behind, atop, and even underneath the stage in the glen for six past productions beginning with 2013’s Twelfth Night (composer/music director) and most recently as the village guitarist in 2019’s Love’s Labors Lost.

Whit Reichert is very excited to be joining St. Louis Shakespeare Festival for his eighth mainstage production. He was last seen as the old shepherd in The Winter’s Tale. The others were both productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, As You Like It, Richard III, Hamlet and Othello. Whit has worked with most of the professional theatres in St. Louis including The Muny, Stages, The Black Rep, St. Louis Actors’ Studio, The Variety Club and 27 productions at The Rep. Regionally, he has performed with Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre, Great Plains Theatre Festival, Fireside Theatre, Casa Manana, The Starlight Theatre, The Riverside Theatre, Great Lakes Festival Theatre, Galveston Grand Opera House, B&B Dinner Theatre and The Little Theatre on the Square. Carmen Cecilia Retzer (she/her) is thrilled to be making her St. Louis Shakespeare Festival debut. Carmen is a rising senior at the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University where she is pursuing her BFA in Acting. Recent productions she has been in include Burial at Thebes (Messenger, Chorus), Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again. (Ensemble), Water By The Spoonful (Female Swing), and The Living (Swing) at the Webster Conservatory and the audio-play Dear Kitty…Querida Ana (Ana) with In The Margin. 

Alex Rudd Having graduated from Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University, Alex is thrilled to return to St. Louis to make his debut with the St. Louis Shakespeare Festival. He most recently finished a production of Charley’s Aunt (Lord Fancourt Babberley) at Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre. Other regional credits include Baskerville! Seyle happily joins St. Louis Shakespeare Festival St. Louis for a fifth season as musical factotum. Along with composition partner and co-founder of The Rats and People Motion Picture Orchestra, Matt Pace, Seyle wrote and arranged music for Twelfth Night (2013), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2016), The Winter’s Tale (2017) and Love’s Labors Lost (2019). A lifelong violinist, Seyle also performed as part of the Festival’s ensemble in 2013, 2017, 2019. He’s extremely pleased to do the same in 2022.

From Bombay, India, Sorab has performed internationally as an actor and singer in an eclectic mélange of projects from The Play of Daniel, a medieval music-drama, at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, to the notorious Jihad! The Musical on London’s West End. In 2016 he played Shylock #1 and Gratiano in Karin Coonrod’s historic production of The Merchant of Venice performed in the Jewish Ghetto in Venice, commemorating the 500th anniversary of the founding of the Ghetto. He garnered raves for his Ali Hakim on the Broadway tour of Oklahoma!.
