Bring your group to Romeo & Zooliet, a wildly imaginative take on Shakespeare’s classic where zoo animals stage their own version of Romeo and Juliet. Perfect for audiences of all ages, this heartwarming story follows an unlikely friendship between Romeo, a prairie dog, and Juliet, a grizzly bear, as they attempt to bridge a divide between herbivores and carnivores.
Whether you’re planning a school field trip or a group outing, we offer flexible options for groups of all kinds – big or small, young or young at heart – with added perks for student groups, including educational resources and special partnerships.

This production has a runtime of 80 minutes with no intermission.
Ticket Prices:
Group tickets can be booked in Tier 3 and Tier 4 seats. Groups must include 10+ persons to receive the 25% group booking discount. Click here to see a seat map.

Tier 3 (Premium seating closer to the stage) – $27/person
Tier 4 (General admission seating) – $15/person
While limited free, blanket seating will be available, we recommend reserving group tickets to guarantee your seats and access additional educational materials. More information on individual ticket pricing available soon.
A 50% deposit must be paid upon booking. Final group head counts are due by September 18, 2026 and the remaining balance must be paid in full prior to the start of your scheduled performance.

Q: WHAT IS THE SHOW ABOUT?
“Romeo and Zooliet” tells the story of zoo animals mounting their own production of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet.” In this animal-centered version, the Montagues are herbivores and the Capulets are carnivores. Can Romeo, a prairie dog, and Juliet, a grizzly bear, cross the biological divide and become best friends?
This show is appropriate for guests of all ages.
Q: WHO CAN BOOK GROUP TICKETS?
Group tickets are available to groups big and small, fuzzy or scaly, young or young at heart – we facilitate group bookings for school groups as well as community groups. Groups must be at least 10+ persons and capacity is dependent upon availability. Fill out the group booking interest form here.
Q: ARE THERE ANY BENEFITS FOR SCHOOL GROUPS?
Yes! We’ve partnered with the Saint Louis Art Museum to offer free, related scavenger hunts at the Museum any time during the production’s run. Additional educational curriculum will be available closer to the show’s opening.
Q: DO YOU OFFER TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE?

Q: IS ROMEO & ZOOLIET SEATING THE SAME AS SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK
Seating for Romeo & Zooliet differs from the standard Shakespeare in the Park seating for the St. Louis Shakespeare Festival, as it is set up theater style with additional reserved seating options, plus free seating further back in Shakespeare Glen. Click here to see a seat map.
Q: WHERE DOES THE SHOW TAKE PLACE & WHERE DO WE PARK?
- Free street parking is available throughout Forest Park.
- Free parking in the West Circle Drive Lot, west of the Saint Louis Art Museum. (4 min. walk)
- Free lots by the Muny and in front of the Forest Park Visitor’s Center. (20 min. walk)
- Paid parking is available in The Saint Louis Art Museum’s underground Parking Garage which will be available for parking on most nights ($15). The Art Museum Garage sometimes closes for special events. Call ahead to confirm if the Garage will be open.
Accessible parking is available in both the West and East Circle Drive Lots and in the Saint Louis Art Museum’s underground Parking Garage. Drop-off areas are located on Fine Arts Drive directly in front of the Art Museum.
BICYCLES: There are bicycle paths located throughout Forest Park. Bike racks can be found in front of the Art Museum.
METROLINK: The Forest Park DeBaliviere Station is the closest Metrolink stop to the Festival from either the Blue or the Red line. (25 min. walk)
