Boozy Bard’s The Reclaiming of the Shrew

Feb 5 — Feb 13, 2026
Schlafly Tap Room
An inebriated performer voluntarily struggles to reconstruct a character in the story of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew after imbibing several shots of whiskey, while our remaining sober performers bravely inhabit the story with “helpful” suggestions from our “spirited” audience members. These highly skilled artists all have legitimate Shakespearean credits. This is not one of them! If your favorite rom-com is 10 Things I Hate About You and/or you simply enjoy bawdy humour and improvisation with a pretentious literary edge, this is thy jam!

TICKETING
This event is General Admission. Tickets are $18 in advance or $20 at the door.

Tickets purchased at the door are standing room only – patrons are not guaranteed a seat if pre-sale tickets are sold out.

FOOD & BEVERAGE
There will be a full bar with drinks available for purchase inside the performance space; however, no food is allowed in the show room.
We encourage you to arrive early to grab dinner downstairs in Schlafly Tap Room’s restaurant!

CONTENT NOTICE
This is an adult-only show; no one under the age of 21 will be admitted. No exceptions.
Performances may include: strong language, vulgarity, sexual humour, unpredictable audience interaction, and rough magick.

We do not support excessive drinking. Our players are adult participants who are carefully monitored and cared for. Our “drunk” players do not drive home on performance nights. Please drink responsibly and designate a sober driver or ride service.
