2025 Camp Registration

The Summer Shakespeare Studio returns as a full-day, two-week camp open to ages 9-13 and 14-19 hosted at the Grand Center Arts Academy. 

  • Session 1: June 2-13 (Monday-Friday, 9-4 p.m.)
  • Session 2: June 16-27 (Monday-Friday, 9-4 p.m.)

Pricing: $850 per student per session or $1,500 for a full month.

The enrollment deadline is May 16, 2025.


Description

Each morning, students will train with Shakespeare Festival Teaching Artists – engaging with Shakespearean scripts, stagecraft, and stage combat (en guarde!) Students will exercise their voice and movement skills, developing the same techniques used by professional performers to bring complex texts to life! 

After lunch, students will rehearse with their peers, preparing an abridged production of either Macbeth or Twelfth Night (for ages 9-13) and Hamlet or As You Like It (for ages 14-19). These will be performed for family and friends on the mainstage at Shakespeare’s Glen in Forest Park (June 13 and 27). 

Location

Grand Center Arts Academy (711 N Grand Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63103). The final family performance will take place on the stage at Shakespeare’s Glen in Forest Park.

  • Drop-Off: 8:30-9 a.m.
  • Pick-Up: 4-4:30 p.m.
